HIGHLIGHTS:

 

Hourly Rate: $17.50/hr

Shift: Tuesday - Friday 330pm-2am

 

 

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:

Under limited supervision and within defined distribution center standards, coordinate workflow, pack and label product and material to facilitate shipping and on-time delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

THE DETAILS

  • Perform shipping functions specific to small parcel Shipments (90%)
  • Perform warehouse functions to pack small parcel orders, verifying the correct quantity and quality of the product.
  • Adhere to shipping requirements, transfer order notes to avoid delay of shipments
  • Work diligently to meet work schedules and deadlines.
  • Prepare, package, label material as required to ensure product will arrive to customer location without damage.
  • Prepare overpulled products with location pulled on transfer order for put away ease.
  • Process shipments using ShipERP/SAP. FEDEX and U.P.S
  • Work with shipping supervisors and leads to plan and complete by performing tasks in shipping, auditing, consolidation, or hand picking when needed.
  • Seek leadership when there are questions, and support leadership by following direction.
  • Provide training to team members as needed within the small parcel area and other areas of the shipping departments when needed
  • Work with supervisor/lead from previous/next shift to determine priorities and ensure proper work flow in small parcel area
  • Maintain open communication through conversation and both formal and informal documents
  • Clean and remove trash to designated areas of work and throughout daily duties

  • Identify and report safety hazards
  • Follow evacuation / emergency procedures.
  • Understand and apply hazard communication standard, lockout/tag-out, machine guarding, blood borne pathogens and confined spaces as applies to position.
  • Understand and use correct gloves, safety glasses, steel toe shoes and hearing protection when required.
  • Follow proper bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques
  • Adhere to motorized equipment usage and pedestrian safety

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or nationally recognized regionally accredited equivalent required.
  • Entry level, some warehouse experience wanted but not necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional and quality manner
  • Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms
  • Creative thinker
  • Collaborative and effective team player and able to work with teams who are globally dispersed
  • Set a good example of personal integrity
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn; seek out development activities to improve skills and increase knowledge; learn from other team members and own mistakes
