Machine Operator 1st & 2nd Shift

Job Overview:

Under limited supervision, responsibilities include setting up and performing moderately difficult machine operations.  Meets company quality standards and performs basic preventive maintenance.  Reads moderately difficult blueprints. 

 

Responsibilities Include But, Are Not Limited To:

  • Sets up and operates Machines (70%)
    • Sets up and operated moderately difficult machines.
    • Performs basic maintenance on equipment
    • Lay out and performs simple machine operations from drawings or instructions
    • Checks work using various inspection instruments and assists in debugging operating problems.
    • Operates press brake
  • Oversee Parts (30%)
    • May include assembling parts
    • May include moving parts to machines
    • May include moving finished parts
    • Utilizes inspection instruments to assist in resolving discrepancies
    • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Communication and Documentation
    • Maintain open communication through conversation and both formal and informal documents

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred   

 

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Two years or more of related experience
  • Performs all operations according to prescribed safety principles.
  • Keeps work area clean.
  • Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional and quality manner
  • Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn; seek out development activities to improve skills and increase knowledge; learn from other team members and own mistakes
  • Available to work on site as required by job
