HIGHLIGHTS:

Hourly Rate: starting at $19.75 

Shift: This is a Monday through Friday position. Hours are 6:30am-3:00pm

 

 

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Under supervision, maintains flow of materials and products in Shipping & Receiving Departments and on the production floor.

 

 

DUTIES 

  • Pull and deliver parts to necessary bays as needed
  • Loads and unloads parts using hand or powered equipment
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by means of forklift
  • Loads and unloads finished goods using hand or powered equipment
  • Loads materials into trucks in specific order while maintaining accurate routing requirements.
  • Secures and prepares materials for shipment
  • Transfers materials from storage or work sites to designated areas
  • Regularly maintains materials and parts inventory in a neat, organized manner
  • Performs daily safety inspection to forklift to ensure safe operation
  • Maintain accurate inventory movements and SAP transactions
  • Key receipts and put away materials

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Six months to one-year related experience.
  • Training on forklift, overhead crane, and semi-tractor trailer operation preferred.
  • Previous truck loading experience
  • Follow safety rules and procedures and wear personal protective equipment.
  • Keeps work area clean and well organized.
  • Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional and quality manner.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms. Ability to verbally communicate with co-workers in all areas of the plant
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as shipping orders, memos,  safety rules, general policies, instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn; seek out development activities to improve skills and increase knowledge; learn from other team members and own mistakes.
  • Will be required to complete a forklift training certification
  • Work in other areas as assigned

AVAILABILITY:

  • Available to work on site as required by job
  • Available to work 1st Shift Hours
  • Material Handlers work a 40-hour week, plus overtime as required to meet production schedules. Overtime will be based on business demands.
