HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Under limited supervision, responsibilities include product line production scheduling, releasing purchase orders to suppliers for assigned SKUs, creating and releasing production orders to manufacturing, rescheduling orders, expedite orders from suppliers and manufacturing departments as needed. Duties also include implementation of bill of material changes and new product introductions, controlling RIP/WIP and finished goods inventory levels according to demand and inventory targets. Works with Transportation to ensure timely flow of inbound and outbound freight. Works with customer service to prioritize and expedite production schedule.
DUTIES
- Drive Production Readiness: Own work order and purchase order execution from planning through completion—aligning material availability, capacity, and schedules to keep production running on time and on target.
- Be the Supplier Conductor: Act as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers—releasing, expediting, rescheduling, and resolving PO issues to meet demand, quality, and delivery commitments.
- Master the Plan: Translate SIOP and ERP planning signals into action by maintaining accurate master data, monitoring safety stock, lot sizes, and priorities, and ensuring schedules stay synchronized across systems and the shop floor.
- Fuel Change & Growth: Support ECOs, new product launches, special projects, and issue resolution (returns, discrepancies, rejections) with speed, precision, and clear communication across internal teams and external partners.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Supply Chain Savvy: 3+ years of planning, procurement, or supply chain experience, backed by a two‑ or four‑year degree in Business, Operations, or equivalent hands‑on expertise. APICS (CPIM/CSCP) certification is a strong plus.
- Data‑Driven & Tech‑Enabled: Confident using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) to analyze and present data, with experience navigating ERP systems such as SAP to manage inventory, planning, and procurement activities.
- Analytical Problem Solver: Highly organized, flexible, and customer‑focused professional who digs into data, prioritizes effectively, and makes sound decisions that drive quality, accuracy, and results.
- Collaborative Go‑Getter: Clear, confident communicator and team player who thrives in fast‑paced, globally connected environments—taking initiative, embracing learning, and continuously looking for ways to improve performance and outcomes.
AVAILABILITY
Available to work onsite as required by job.
At Oregon Tool, we provide a reasonable, good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this role of $53,000 - $54,000. Final offers are based on various factors such as experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity. This range may vary based on geographic location where the position is filled, and most new hires are not typically hired at the top of the range.
