Hourly Rate: $26.00 - $32.70

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
The Quality Technician I is responsible for inspection of incoming materials and measuring components to support Quality and Engineering activities. Often works alone with direction from others. Aspects of this job include inspection of component parts, interpreting blueprints and data-input.
THE DETAILS:
- Perform inspections of incoming materials per documented standards
- Create and maintain quality records of inspection results
- Measure products using established procedures and measurement methods
- Visually inspect parts as needed using defined criteria
- Perform long-term control chart measurements in a variety of departments
- Perform basic measurement requests and report results
- Complete purchase requisitions for purchase calibration services
- Clean, calibrate, and maintain basic gauges
- Perform measurements to support gauge calibration and qualifications
- Perform internal audits under the guidance of the Lead Auditor
- Participate and support improvement projects
- Review control charts in SPC applications
- Record non-conforming materials in data systems
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience preferred
- Proficiency using gauges such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, pin gauging, slide gauges, and alligator gauges preferred
- Basic Math Skills
- Mechanical aptitude, skilled and disassembly and cleaning of gauge components
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal; strong business writing skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms
- Collaborative and effective team player; active and respectful listener.
- Ability to successfully use EZ Chart and Minitab software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data management software (SAP preferred)
