HIGHLIGHTS:

Hourly Rate: starting at $24/hr - $27/hr

Shift: This is a Monday through Friday position. Hours are 6:30am-3:00pm

 

 

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

The Receiving Coordinator / Material Handler is responsible for the accurate receipt, verification, movement, storage, and issuance of materials to support safe and efficient operations. This role ensures inbound shipments are processed correctly, inventory transactions are completed accurately, materials are handled and stored properly, and internal customers receive timely support. The position works closely with Purchasing, Planning, Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Logistics teams to maintain inventory integrity, support production flow, and resolve receiving discrepancies.

 

DUTIES

  • Inbound Receiving: Receive incoming materials, verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, inspect for visible damage, and ensure accurate documentation of quantities and item information.

  • Inventory Accuracy: Complete inventory transactions accurately in ERP or warehouse systems, apply labels as required, and help maintain correct on-hand balances and material traceability.

  • Material Handling & Storage: Move materials safely using appropriate equipment, store items in designated locations, and maintain organized warehouse and receiving areas to support efficient material flow.

  • Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and communicate shortages, overages, damage, labeling issues, or documentation discrepancies; coordinate with Purchasing, Quality, suppliers, and internal teams to support timely resolution.

  • Production & Internal Support: Deliver and stage materials for production or internal customers, support material replenishment needs, and help ensure parts are available when needed.

  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, material handling guidelines, and site policies related to equipment use, storage practices, and housekeeping standards.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvements related to receiving, inventory control, material flow, and workplace organization to improve accuracy, productivity, and service levels.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or coursework in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory control preferred

  • 3 plus years of experience in receiving, warehouse operations, material handling, inventory control, or a related manufacturing/distribution environment preferred

  • Experience using ERP, warehouse management, barcode scanning, or inventory transaction systems preferred

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment safely, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, or willingness to become certified as required

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to complete receiving documentation, inventory transactions, and internal communication accurately

  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively across shifts and with cross-functional teams

  • Receiving & Inventory Control

    • Ability to receive, verify, record, and store materials accurately while maintaining inventory integrity and traceability

  • Material Handling & Warehouse Organization

    • Knowledge of safe material movement, storage practices, location control, and orderly warehouse operations

  • Attention to Detail & Accuracy

    • Strong focus on shipment verification, documentation accuracy, labeling, and transaction precision

  • Problem Solving & Discrepancy Management

    • Ability to identify receiving or inventory issues quickly and coordinate effective resolution with internal teams and suppliers

  • Safety & Compliance Awareness

    • Commitment to safe work practices, equipment procedures, and adherence to operational standards and site requirements

  • Teamwork & Service Orientation

    • Proven ability to support production and internal customers with timely communication, responsiveness, and dependable execution

 

AVAILABILITY:

  • Available to work on site as required by job

  • Available to work 1st Shift Hours

  • Material Handlers work a 40-hour week, plus overtime as required to meet production schedules. Overtime will be based on business demands.
