This position will support the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis in developing advanced analytics for the organization that provide critical information to senior management; enabling the improvement of strategic and operational decision making and communication with the Board of Directors.


This position will be currently remote, but required to be onsite with a flexible hybrid schedule at our headquarters in Portland, OR in the near future!


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical, quantitative, and financial cost modeling assistance in support of Company objectives in the areas of decision support, and historical analysis
  • Assist in developing and delivering pro-active and insightful analysis of a variety of past results to operating management in a timely manner
  • Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports and presentations for meetings with senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Support the evaluation of business problems and challenges and provide potential solutions
  • Communicate results clearly in both verbal and written formats.
  • Provide support for annual budgeting and frequent forecasting processes, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Perform extensive financial modeling in support of financial planning goals and responsibilities as well as support for other functional areas.
  • Assist in preparing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, and financial analysis reports in the context of annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasting.
  • Work extensively with field and corporate staff to develop forecasts and analysis, and further enhance operating company financial analysis and controls.


Education and Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance is preferred but open to Business or Economics Degrees
  • CPA or MBA a plus
  • The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • An accounting background with fundamental knowledge to analyze and interpret financial results to add value and give recommendations to senior management.
  • Candidate must be willing to dig into the numbers, assist in ad hoc projects as needed, take ownership of projects and processes, and explore new areas to improve financial results.
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Ability to articulate financial concepts to non-finance business partners in a clear and concise manner
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Excel Power Pivot) and data management software (SAP strongly preferred)
  • Proven capability to partner with operations and act as a finance partner on collaborative efforts
  • Strong organization and time management skills
