Shift: Day shift from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

Must be available to work other shifts as needed (swing shift: 4 p.m. to midnight; graveyard shift: midnight to 7:30 a.m.). Shift premium provided for hours worked on an off shift.

 

Pay Range: $43 – $48, depending on experience.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT: 

 

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will provide a high standard of electrical maintenance support for Oregon Tool’s Portland manufacturing plant. You will support the Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and Facility departments and maintain a safe working environment.

 

THE DETAILS:

 

General Responsibilities

  • Build control systems, which includes system requirement evaluation, panel design, layout, wiring, installation and system debug
  • Read, understand, revise, and maintain electrical schematic documentation
  • Redline schematics, following departmental procedures, in order to maintain documentation to current standards and reflect machine as-built configuration
  • Strive to continuously improve manufacturing equipment by researching new technologies and its application to equipment
  • Follow all NEC, NFPA, OSHA and Oregon State electrical standards

 

Maintenance

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical/electronic maintenance support for all manufacturing equipment including, AC/DC drives, servo drives, PLC’s, and high energy R.F. generators
  • Install, calibrate and maintain process control devices such as temperature controllers, counters, timers, weight and speed monitoring devices
  • Perform general electrical maintenance and repair systems, lighting, and power outlets
  • Install cable for all of the plants telephone and computer needs
  • General construction work: install conduit, wireways, and busways, for all of the plants power distribution requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and an Oregon State, “Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant” Electrical License or higher (state law requires yearly classes to maintain electrical licenses)
  • At least 5 years of experience in Industrial Manufacturing Electrical field, including electrical and electronic control system troubleshooting skills in variable frequency drives, PLC’s, and/or related areas
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and experience in maintenance management software (SAP a plus)
  • Factory provided training classes in automated manufacturing equipment a plus (i.e. PLC’s, Robotics, Lasers, AC/DC Drives and/or CNC’s)
  • Ability to operate hand tools, utilize test equipment, and operate high lift equipment or fork lift
  • A continuous improvement mindset for troubleshooting, gaining knowledge, and experience with high tech manufacturing equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational, problem solving, and customer service skills
  • You do not need to possess 100% of these qualities to be considered
