HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
The Manager of Advanced Manufacturing leads a diverse team of Engineers and technical experts who are responsible for delivering next generation manufacturing solutions who ensure Oregon Tool’s capabilities, performance, and efficiency will continue to be industry leading. The Advanced Manufacturing Team implements transformative solutions to existing operations and implements new capabilities driven by New Product Development needs.

Process and Technology Leadership: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes and equipment, integrating advanced engineering capabilities across multiple disciplines to align with future product roadmaps.

Innovation and Strategy: Identify and develop opportunities for business improvement through advanced manufacturing methods, leveraging industry trends to create global technology strategies and secure senior leadership approval for initiatives.

Cost Reduction and Productivity: Partner with global teams to execute automation initiatives, improve operational agility, and drive cost reduction efforts for existing products and processes.

Team Development and Leadership: Manage and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and knowledge retention while establishing annual goals and budgets to support organizational priorities.

Communication and Reporting: Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, deliver presentations to leadership, and ensure clear and effective communication of technical information across teams and departments.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physical Science with 10+ years of experience in developing manufacturing processes and equipment, including 3+ years leading engineering teams or managing projects.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data management systems (SAP preferred). Expertise in documenting and revising equipment designs, Bills of Materials, and Engineering Change Orders.

Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues, evaluate relevant information, and make effective decisions.

Communication and Collaboration: Effective written and verbal communication skills; capable of working collaboratively within globally dispersed teams and tailoring communication to diverse audiences.

Leadership and Initiative: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, take initiative, and drive organizational improvements while maintaining a professional, quality-focused approach.
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, Colorado, Nevada, California, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, Oregon Tool is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Oregon Tool, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range iis $130,000 - $165,000.
