HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:

The Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) Product & Marketing Specialist has a central role in coordinating all the activities to serve and support all product and marketing for our Lawn & Garden and Forestry OEM customers, ensuring that OEM customers new business initiatives are supported efficiently and in a timely manner.  This is a role with large cross functional interactions (Sales, Product Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, R&D, Engineering labs, Quality, and Procurement), with all the OEM customers worldwide, with all Oregon Tool production and distribution sites.

 

THE DETAILS:

  • Manage and coordinate all activities to support OEM New Business Development
  • Coordinate all sample requests for Forestry, Lawn and Garden and Harvester OEMs
  • Implement/develop new business development form for submitting all new requests to Manufacturing for quote
  • Work with Manufacturing, Sales and Finance to complete quotes to customers including coordinating production costs and populating P&L
  • Conduct/Participate in weekly calls with OEM sales team and product marketing to follow up on and address technical, quality, and customer service issues
  • Managing PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), including coordinating with product line managers, Engineering and compliance to get production samples, PSW (Part Submission Warrant) ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) documentation and OEM drawings.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): support sales team to ensure the necessary data is provided in full to CMA Administration team through BRI (Bar Request Information) and CRI (Chain Request Information) forms and LRI (Lawn & Garden Request Information). Also, work with product management to develop specific OEM sales support material.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred, MBA or MIS a strong plus
  • 7 to 10 years of experience global management experience in Sales and/or Marketing roles for a company containing a large portfolio of products
  • Demonstrated experience in sales and marketing roles to support Sales
  • Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional and quality manner
  • Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms; strong presentation skills for executive-level presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy strategy consistent with Oregon Tool’s objectives
  • Creative thinker
  • Collaborative and effective team player and able to work with teams who are globally dispersed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data management software (SAP preferred)

 

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, Colorado, Nevada, California, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, Oregon Tool is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Oregon Tool, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $78,000 to $82,000.
