HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

The Sr. Marketing Events Specialist is responsible for the planning, logistics and administrative details for industry, customer, and corporate events and tradeshows for the Oregon brand, with primary focus in North America.  This position develops the strategy and executes high profile, complex events involving vendors, venue contacts, customers and internal team members-- including executive leadership at Oregon Tool.

 

THE DETAILS

  • Strategic Planning & Analysis: Evaluate trade shows, events, and sponsorships based on business goals, customer focus, ROI, and cost
  • Budgeting & Scheduling: Lead annual planning and budgeting; maintain event calendars and show plans
  • Execution & Logistics: Manage all aspects of event logistics including registration, travel, accommodations, shipping, booth setup, and vendor coordination
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams and leadership to align events with organizational goals and ensure cross-functional support
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor events against defined goals, metrics, and budgets
  • On-Site Support: Provide hands-on management for selected events and training sessions
  • Inventory & Materials: Oversee tradeshow assets, marketing materials, and promotional items
  • Communication & Engagement: Facilitate internal communications and engage with customers and attendees
  • Travel Requirements: Travel 30–40% for venue scouting, setup, and on-site hosting

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, communications, or related field; CMP, CMM, CEPS preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in corporate event planning and tradeshow management with a proven success record.
  • Event Expertise: Skilled in budgeting, contracting, logistics, and applying best practices in event execution.
  • Marketing Knowledge: Strong grasp of marketing strategies and creativity in developing unique event concepts.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiar with event tech, digital marketing tools, social media, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Project Management: Excellent planning, prioritization, and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; adept at working with senior leadership.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Capable of evaluating metrics, writing business cases, and delivering formal presentations.
  • Adaptability & Collaboration: Flexible, detail-oriented, and effective in both independent and team settings.

 

At Oregon Tool, we provide a reasonable, good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this role of $95,000 to $115,000. Final offers are based on various factors such as experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity. This range may vary based on geographic location where the position is filled, and most new hires are not typically hired at the top of the range.
