HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Senior SAP Developer provides SAP technical expertise to develop, test and debug innovative solutions in an SAP centric global landscape. Responsible for maintaining the standardization and integrity of SAP solutions and data throughout the entire global landscape, thus enabling the business to function more efficiently and meet the requirements placed on it by customers, government, and internal initiatives.
THE DETAILS:
- Design, develop, configure, test & implement solutions to meet business requirements while adhering to development standards & methodologies.
- Provide hands-on development in ABAP(RICEFs) & OOPS, UI5/Fiori, BTP, Web Dynpro ABAP.
- Develop solutions interfacing RESTful web services (OData,JSON), and other data integrations like flat file over FTP, SQL database and SAP IDOCs.
- Experience in SAP UI5 and Fiori application development, deployment and transport to other environments.
- Knowledge in VS Code and Git Version Control .
- Perform code reviews with peers; able to recognize good programming techniques and correct coding problems; plans & executes unit tests.
- Partner closely with SAP basis team & Business Analysts for implementations and troubleshooting.
- Ensure common technical elements are leveraged to reduce duplication and technical debt; monitor and guide technical teams.
- Participate in product roadmap and product strategy definition; engage with partners to identify & validate requirements, translate to technical designs.
- Deliver complex projects in a fast-paced, team environment; utilize structured problem-solving skills.
- Adhere to SAP best practices & standards; maintains stable/scalable SAP environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience is required.
- 7-10+ years of ABAP development experience.
- Extensive development experience using ABAP RICEFW objects, OOABAP, ALE/IDOC, RFC BAPI, User Exits, BADIs and SAP enhancements; experience with debugging & performance analysis.
- Experience in SAP UI5 / Fiori, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, jQuery is mandatory.
- Experience in OData Services, SAP Web Services , HTTP Protocol and experience interfacing RESTful web services using ABAP.
- Experience in SAP Script, Smartforms, and Adobe Interactive Forms, ALV Reporting, ABAP report development, dialog programming, LSMW, output determination routines including conditions and requirement routines is a plus
- Knowledgeable with latest best practices for S/4 HANA/BTP development. CDS Views, ABAP Managed Database procedures (AMDP), Virtual Data Model (VDM). ALV with IDA.
- Experience in documenting technical specifications and unit test scripts.
- Experience with SAP security concepts; must have implemented authorization checks in ABAP objects.
- Proficient in ABAP development with a good functional understanding of SAP modules, including FI, MM, PP, SD, and WM.
- Experience in SAP Upgrade activities - SPAU & SPDD adjustments, SAP Note application.
- Experience with SAP SOA Manager a plus.
- Experience with SAP Personas a plus.
- Experience with SAP cloud technologies, SAP BW, SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration), SAP HCM, SAP CR - highly desired.
At Oregon Tool, we provide a reasonable, good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this role of $140,000 to $165,000. Final offers are based on various factors such as experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity. This range may vary based on geographic location where the position is filled, and most new hires are not typically hired at the top of the range.
