HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
The purpose of this position is to assist in the preparation and review of domestic compliance, the global consolidated provision, and various tax projects as assigned by the Tax and Treasury Manager. The Senior Tax Accountant will work closely with other professionals within Oregon Tool and outside the organization.
DUTIES
- Prepare and review consolidated federal and state income tax workpapers, including book‑to‑tax differences, consolidating workpapers, state apportionment, extensions, estimates, and domestic and foreign tax provision support.
- Support compliance for domestic and international entities, including preparation of support workpapers for Forms 5471 and 8858, assistance with federal and state returns prepared by external service providers, and review of foreign tax provision workpapers.
- Assist with tax projects and reporting activities, including sales and use tax data summaries, cash tax reporting for international units, audit support, amended return preparation, and maintenance of tax‑related general ledger reconciliations.
- Perform tax research and maintain clear documentation and communication, gathering authoritative guidance to support tax positions and ensuring effective collaboration through formal and informal communication channels.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Tax Knowledge & Experience: 5+ years of corporate tax experience in complex, multistate environments, including ASC 740, with demonstrated growth in responsibility and exposure to U.S. taxation of international operations.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office, experience reviewing accounting workpapers, strong understanding of tax statutory and regulatory frameworks, and familiarity with SAP and OneSource Tax Provision preferred.
- Professional Competencies: Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and organized professional with strong communication skills, ability to leverage new technologies (including AI), collaborate across global teams, take initiative, and deliver high‑quality results under deadlines.
AVAILABILITY
Available to work a hybrid schedule with an onsite presence as needed for the role. Typical onsite days for this team is Tuesday & Wednesday.
At Oregon Tool, we provide a reasonable, good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this role of $94,600.00 - $118,300.00. Final offers are based on various factors such as experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity. This range may vary based on geographic location where the position is filled, and most new hires are not typically hired at the top of the range.
