HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT: 

As a Senior Project Manager – New Product Development (NPD) you coordinate all aspects of the new product development projects from initiation through close. You will organize cross-functional activities, ensuring successful completion of each project. As a Senior Project Manager NPD, you manage people and other resources indirectly across functional disciplines as part of a global cross-functional team.

 

THE DETAILS: 

  • Lead Forestry, Lawn and Garden Division’s new product development projects using phase gate methodology projects
  • Project management of new product development projects involving internal and outside manufacturing
  • Proactive approach and communicate status to stakeholders effectively
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to interact with senior management
  • Maintain open communication through conversation and both formal and informal documents
  • Manage changes against project schedule, scope and cost, as well as lead the assessment of impact on the larger portfolio of projects
  • Successfully manage project dependencies and constraints
  • Achieve project objective by utilizing a cross functional organization. Coordinate departmental resources to accomplish key milestones
  • Prepare project scope document, communications plan, risk assessments, mitigation plans and timelines
  • Work closely with design engineering and manufacturing to develop high-quality, cost-effective products
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Develop and facilitate best practices training for the organization
  • Provide coaching to the organization’s sub-project managers and project team members

   

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years proven project/program manager experience delivering new product development projects
  • Project Management Professional certification preferred
  • Experience with formal project management methods
  • Experience working with and leading many cross functional teams
  • Proven experience holding team members accountable to drive results
  • Project Management experience developing and managing WBS, schedules, scope, budgets, resource plans, issues, risks and change requests
  • Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional and quality manner
  • Able to be flexible and adapt to change
  • Experience with project management software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data management software (SAP preferred)
  • You do not need to possess 100% of these qualities to be considered

 

AVAILABILITY:

  • This position is hybrid and as such, this individual must be available to work on site 2-3 days per week as required by job

 

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, Colorado, Nevada, California, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, Oregon Tool is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Oregon Tool, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 to $140,000.
