HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
The Manager, Strategic Pricing role reports to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis at Oregon Tool and will support the product management, sales and finance teams in the development of a sustainable pricing organization and model that drives strategic, data driven pricing decisions across all Business Areas (BA) and geographies. Through the advancement and distribution of pricing strategies based on market context, competitive landscape, customer segments, and industry evolution, the position will drive collaboration and margin capture across the organization. They will need to support pricing capabilities throughout the organization by implementing systems, tools, and standard workflows for improved value capture, leakage elimination, and price management; and to drive accountability and action with periodic business segment and BA reviews.
THE DETAILS
Shape Global Pricing Strategy: Lead the design and execution of a dynamic, multi-year pricing transformation roadmap across a global, omni-channel business—driving strategic initiatives tied to customer segments, competitive response, and market dynamics.
Drive Business Impact Through Analytics: Spearhead pricing analytics and KPI monitoring (e.g., volume, FX impact, profitability), translating complex data into actionable insights for Finance, Sales, and Product teams.
Champion Pricing Excellence: Standardize and align pricing processes across the organization, establishing sustainable, data-driven practices to inform strategy and support financial goals.
Empower Sales with Strategic Support: Partner closely with sales teams to develop pricing strategies, defend price changes, and provide thought leadership to strengthen competitive positioning and revenue outcomes.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Strategic Pricing Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Strategic Pricing or Revenue Management, with a strong grasp of pricing systems, elasticity, pricing waterfall, margin analysis, and financial modeling across both B2B and B2C environments.
Advanced Analytical & Technical Skills: Proven ability to solve complex business challenges using Excel, SAP, Power BI, and Business Intelligence tools—driving data-informed strategies within Sales and Marketing frameworks.
Exceptional Communication & Influence: Skilled in presenting compelling pricing strategies to stakeholders at all levels; experienced in supporting customer negotiations and aligning pricing actions with legal and regulatory standards.
Innovative, Results-Driven Thinker: Recognized as a thought leader with a balance of strategic insight and tactical execution—adept at problem-solving, process improvement, and managing change in fast-paced environments.
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, Colorado, Nevada, California, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, Oregon Tool is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Oregon Tool, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $125,000.00 - $140,000.00.
