HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

The Technical Analyst II’s role is to ensure proper computer operation by maintaining personal computers, peripherals and network devices.  This person acts as second level user support, solving basic to advanced technical problems, maintaining IS security administration.  Participates in IT projects, analyzes and resolves end user hardware, software and network problems in a timely and accurate fashion.  Provides end user training where required.

 

THE DETAILS:

  • End User Support- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networked peripherals, resolving 75%+ of issues. Provide user education, backup/recovery support, and conduct training sessions. Access online resources for software updates and problem resolution.
  • Control Service Desk Processes- Handle Service Desk calls and emails, document issue resolution, and track service requests. Monitor, prioritize, and escalate issues, performing post-resolution follow-ups as needed.
  • Service Desk Hardware and Software Maintenance- Install, configure, and troubleshoot client hardware/software, perform preventative maintenance.
  • Assist with hardware renewals, PC installations, and product evaluations.
  • Network Infrastructure Management- Administer servers, network services, and operating systems; manage backups and security. Provide off-hours support, maintain hardware/software inventory, and create email accounts.
  • Communication and Documentation- Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring compliance with data security policies. Track and resolve service requests, sharing team updates with management.
  • Inventory Control and Procurement- Maintain hardware/software inventories, process purchases, and manage product returns. Evaluate and recommend new technology products and handle procurement processes.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education and Experience- Associate's degree or 5+ years of related IT experience, with industry certifications highly desirable. 5+ years in designing and maintaining complex IT Service Desk solutions and Cyber Security.
  • Technical Proficiency- Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving operating system, application, hardware, and software issues. Strong knowledge of current operating systems (including Apple OS) and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and data management software (SAP preferred).
  • Communication and Problem-Solving- Excellent written and oral communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments, with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Teamwork and Initiative- Collaborative team player able to work with globally dispersed teams, with a focus on continuous learning and customer satisfaction. Strong personal integrity, initiative, and a results-driven approach to achieving goals.

 

AVAILABILITY:

  • Position requires performance of work on-site during normal working hours in most cases for optimal team interaction and communication, and availability of resources. 
  • Ability to work in a global virtual team environment with Oregon Tool’s world-wide locations.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required. 

 

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, Colorado, Nevada, California, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, Oregon Tool is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Oregon Tool, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 to $80,000.
