Shift: Monday - Thursday; 5am-330pm
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
The Fabricator Welder fabricates and welds various types of sheet metal using Metal Inert Gas (MIG), Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), soldering, tacking, and brazing techniques. Uses Computer Aided Drawing specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), work instructions, and documented procedures to produce a quality part. Responsible for maintaining welding equipment, machine reliability, and performance. Trains Team Members on safe welding operations and advanced welding techniques.
THE DETAILS
Drive safe, high-quality welding operations: Set up and operate MIG, TIG, soldering, tacking, and brazing equipment while strictly adhering to safety standards; interpret drawings and work instructions to align, fit, and fabricate parts to precise specifications.
Deliver precision and performance on the floor: Prepare materials through cleaning, sanding, and forming; monitor weld quality, make real-time adjustments, and ensure finished products meet standards using digital systems and documentation.
Maintain equipment and support production excellence: Perform autonomous and preventive maintenance, manage consumables, utilize SAP for material tracking, and collaborate with Engineering on new and prototype products while supporting cross-functional operations (laser, press brake, powder coat).
Champion continuous improvement and team capability: Lead and participate in Lean/5S and DMS activities, track KPIs, identify cost savings, optimize welding processes, and share expertise through training, documentation, and clear team communication.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Robust technical foundation: High school diploma/GED required plus formal welding training (GMAW/GTAW certification or equivalent), including oxyacetylene, arc welding, blueprint reading, and metal fabrication fundamentals.
Proven manufacturing and welding expertise: 10+ years in manufacturing with 8+ years hands-on welding across MIG, TIG, soldering, tacking, and brazing on sheet metal; comfortable using SAP, CAD, and Microsoft Office tools.
Precision, problem-solving, and accountability: Known for strong math skills, exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and consistently delivering high-quality work safely, efficiently, and on time.
Collaborative leader and continuous learner: Effective communicator who trains and mentors others, drives improvement initiatives, takes initiative, and translates goals into action while upholding teamwork, integrity, and professional excellence.
AVAILABILITY
Available to work onsite as described at our Prescott, AZ facility. Schedule will be Monday-Thursday 5a-330p with the opportunity for overtime as needed by the organization.
