This position could be based in either China or Singapore.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
1.B2B : Work closely with the Japan distributor to identify new opportunities for growth, monitor distributor sales performance and provide support to maximize results. Analyze market trends, and help craft strategies.
2.B2C:Developing B2C partnerships, managing relationships with key stakeholders, conducting competitive analysis, preparing presentations, and supporting project implementation.
•Plan and implement in-store marketing activities to boost brand visibility and sales.
•Sales Growth: Track and report sales growth within dealers and home center channels, aiming for year-on-year improvement.
•Track New Customer Acquisition:
•Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue and expand the customer base.
•Product Portfolio Expansion:
•Identify and launch new products or solutions tailored to market needs to capture additional share.
3. Amazon
•Strengthen and grow Amazon JP revenue by setting targets
•Product Portfolio Expansion:
•Identify and launch new products SKUS applicable to market needs.
•Improve product ranking/ rating
•Increase market share
4. Functional Competencies (Job Related):
•Deep understanding of Japan retail, dealer and amazon channels. Establish strong , trust based relationship with all Japanese accounts (B2B/ B2C)
•Capabilities to convert insights to actionable strategies.
•Proven ability to identify new business opportunities with distributor, partner and key accounts.
•Execute and develop growth plan, account penetration strategies and country level expansion.
•Strong understanding in pricing strategies and margin structure.
•Experience in designing promotion and seasonal campaigns suited for the Japanese market.
•Skilled in structing commercial proposal aligning with margin and profitability.
•SAP competence (if possible)
•Effective communication across cross functional team.
•Effective at presenting business cases and product value and strategy.
•Skilled in negotiation.
•Strong understanding of business financial, cost structure and profitability.
•Ability to adapt global strategies for local relevance.
•Persistence in building momentum in a competitive and relationship driven environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- University degree
- Business fluent in written and spoken Japanese + at least one additional language (Mandarin or English)
- Min. 7 years customer-facing outside sales experience
- Experience in managing & growing sales of products through the sales channels (distributors + dealers)
- Project management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure against tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability & flexibility for business travel around the region(Japan) for at least 50% of the time
- Knowledge of CRM software and sales reporting tools, MS Excel/Power Point /Sales Force/SAP BW
